Imposter Syndrome
Today I am 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant. But even as I write that, I feel like I’m an imposter... a lady just pretending to be pregnant. That can’t be me I’m talking about!
I've kept my promise to be positive about this pregnancy with Adam. I smile and hug him when he asks how baby and I are doing; I humor him when he rubs my belly. But the sad thing is, I still have a hard time believing it. Even with this...

I'd like to think I look more pregnant then, wow...that girl has eaten too many burritos! |
Is that weird? I should be comfortable with this "you are pregnant" thing. Anyone else feel this way? I could use some words of wisdom.
You definitely look like the pregnant woman and not the one who ate to many burritos :) I think what you are going through is perfectly normal and acceptable. I bet it will sink in more and more as you progress throughout this pregnancy :)
ReplyDeleteYou look pregnant for sure, because you are so tine everywhere else! You are doing great. I am still waiting for things to totally sink in and I'm 21 weeks so I get it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look preggo for sure! So very cute :)
ReplyDeleteI'm at 19 weeks today and feel the same way... I'm not sure when it will truly hit me that this isn't just a food baby. Maybe when I can feel her moving. Stay positive, you look great!
ReplyDeleteSometime in the next 2-3 weeks, if not already, you will feel little flutters. You'll dismiss them as nothing but that is the baby moving. Definitely makes it more real.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the beautiful belly! I miss it!
ReplyDeleteohhh, how I missed this!! Congratulations!!! big big hugs!! you are very pregnant!
ReplyDeleteI felt weird and in disbelief my whole pregnancy. I was huge and waddling and it always caught me off guard when strangers would ask me about my pregnancy. Always took a second to realize they were talking to me. It does start to feel more real once you feel movement, though. You definitely look pregnant and not full of burritos!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely look pregnant!! It took me a looooong time to realize that I was actually pregnant so I think it's pretty normal. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute! That excellent little bump of yours should be proof enough that someone is growing in there...but I know what you mean. It feels unreal...every now and again it hits me that THERE IS A BABY IN THERE!!, but most of the time I hardly believe it. I wonder if fertile women have the same amount of disbelief??
